Shielding in comparison:
An unshielded residential lamp (protection class 2) with a 2-pole mains connection cable and Euro plug (EN 50075) provides generates an electrical alternating field of 100.0 to 200.0V/m.
This shielded lamp (protection class 1) with a 3-pole shielded mains connection cable, a metallic inner housing and the protective cage for the illuminant results in an electrical alternating field of 0.4 to 0.6V/m (measured under laboratory conditions).
In practice, small differences are possible, due to ambient conditions. In the area of the socket (protective contact plug) the strength of the electrical alternating field is influenced by the electrical installation.
The screening is carried out according to the specifications, frequency bands and measuring distances of the approved screen standards (for low-radiation screens/monitors):
