The development of the new M6(L) series for shielding magnetic fields was a challenge:
It does not contain any problematic metals, is thin enough to be flexible and thick enough to shield well and can withstand bends without any loss of shielding.
It is suitable for both small areas in the home and large areas in construction, business or industry. In addition, there are a wide range of possible uses in cars, electric cars, delivery vans, mobile homes and caravans.
M6-82 is a flexible magnetic field shielding plate for shielding low-frequency magnetic fields, which is laminated with a self-adhesive layer on the underside and aluminum on the top. This makes the M6 series very universal in its application. Tight bending radii and right-angled bends can be achieved without any loss of shielding attenuation. The self-adhesive layer is based on a high-quality, low-VOC, permanent acrylic adhesive with minimal odor.
If required (e.g. MRI rooms), the aluminum surface offers HF shielding of 120dB.
Single-layer processing has the best price/performance ratio; for higher magnetic flux densities, multiple layers are required. For this product, 6 extremely thin shielding films were connected to one another because several thin layers shield better than a thick sheet of metal.

- Ingredients and magnetic characteristics are not declared here for innovation reasons. The high-tech material has a high initial permeability and high saturation induction of 5Hz to 50kHz. In addition, static magnetic fields with 0Hz are shielded as well as electromagnetic fields up to 40GHz.

Processing
Caution: You can cut the M6 series with high-quality scissors!
The cut edges are razor-sharp and must be protected immediately after cutting with, for example, fabric adhesive tape!
Use cut-resistant gloves when processing! It is better to plan the installation of the panels so that you do not have to cut! For larger wall surfaces, make sure that the panels are a vapor barrier.
Processing: This product has a permanent acrylic adhesive on the back that adheres to clean, grease-free and level surfaces. Peel off the protective film and stick the panels together using our FVR10 squeegee. Work carefully but do not press too hard to avoid damaging the aluminum surface. The shielding surface must overlap by at least 2cm for all panels.
Multi-layer installation: Always install the panels offset, the surfaces should cover the overlaps underneath.
Grounding
When shielding magnetic fields, also pay attention to the electrical fields. To avoid the spread of electrical fields, earthing is necessary. This is particularly easy with the M6 series with an aluminum surface: To make contact, stick the GSX10 or GSX50 earthing tape to the aluminum surfaces of all installed panels.
