    Description

TG-4081, Tinytag Transit, 8 Bit, IP54 Temperature Data Logger, Grey Housing

The TG-4081 Tinytag transit data loggers are technically identical to the model TG-4080, except that they have a grey housing, instead of a yellow one.
This is for applications in which a discreet housing color is desired or in where there is a requirement to differentiate between two different sets of data loggers (i.e. used on different processes).

Designed with monitoring products during their transport transport in mind, Tinytag Transits are robust lightweight temperature monitoring solutions.
Used on trucks, airplanes and ships to monitor shipments of ethical drugs, foodstuffs and many other products.

This unit, BS EN12830 compliant, is ideal for the transport, storage and distribution of chilled, frozen, deep-frozen/ quick-frozen food and ice cream.

For the data transfer the TG-4081 connects to a PC using inductive communications, that means the data transfer doesn't work via connectors which are plugged into the logger, but it simply is laid on the inductive pad which is connected to the PC.  This "wireless" connection is very convenient, if several loggers must be read out within a short time. Furthermore, there is no need of connector sockets any more, whose waterproof screw caps easily get lost or are forgotten to be screwed on.

The inductive pad ACS-3030 is not supplied with the data logger and needs to be ordered extra.

Though the TG-4081 logger is designed for inductive data transfer, it is also possible to connect it via a USB port cable, after one has opened the housing of the logger.
