TG-4100, Tinytag Aquatic 2, 10 Bit, Submersible Temperature Data Logger, IP68
Designed with long term immersion in mind, this unit is waterproof to a depth of 500m making it ideal for environmental monitoring in rivers and oceans. The high visibility yellow case has an attachment point that can be used to secure the logger in position. The lid can be removed to enable user replacement of the battery.
Data is downloaded to the computer via a USB or serial download pad. This ?wireless connection? eliminates the need for sockets with waterproof caps which can easily be lost or forgotten.
For the data transfer the TG-4100 connects to a PC using inductive communications, that means the data transfer doesn't work via connectors which are plugged into the logger, but it simply is laid on the inductive pad which is connected to the PC. This "wireless" connection is very convenient, if several loggers must be read out within a short time. Furthermore, there is no need of connector sockets any more, whose waterproof screw caps easily get lost or are forgotten to be screwed on.
The inductive pad ACS-3030 is not supplied with the data logger and needs to be ordered extra.
