5G Esmog Spion, Broadband Receiver, 50Hz - 8GHz

The previous models "Esmog Spion" and Super Esmog Spion" are no longer manufactured and are therefore no longer available!
The previous broadband receivers "Esmog Spion" and "Super Esmog Spion" could capture signals up to 3GHz.
New 5G communication technologies make it necessary to have measuring and test devices for the presence of even higher frequency digitally pulsed RF signals (microwaves).
There are planned 5G frequency bands, currently around 700MHz, around 2GHz, between 3 and 4GHz, around 28/30GHz and up to approx. 80GHz.
First of all, the frequency bands below 6GHz will be used. The higher 5G frequencies are not used for the time being and are also less relevant in terms of human health effects due to their shorter reaches.
The new 5G Esmog Spion can even capture RF signals up to 8GHz, display the relative signal strength and you can identify the signal sources based on the typical sound characteristics.
Different signals can be distinguished in the RF (HF) measuring range, e.g:
CB and ham radio, aviation radio, VHF radio, DAB+, DVBT, BOS, TETRA, UMTS, DECT cordless telephones, smartphones, cell phones, RADAR, microwave ovens, WLAN, Bluetooth and others.
Like its predecessors, the 5G Esmog Spion has a particularly broadband, sensitive RF amplifier with AM demodulation and signal reproduction via the built-in speaker. A rough frequency selection is only made by plugging different antennas (supplied) that are capable of resonance in different frequency ranges.
The relative signal strength is shown on a traffic light coloured LED bar display, whereby the LED colours can also be used to evaluate the signal strength with regard to its effect on human health during continuous exposure.
In the AF (NF) measuring range different signals from alternating electrical fields caused by technical sources, e.g. from the electrical 50/60Hz mains installation, switching power supplies, LCD displays, monitors and screens, long-wave radio, radio clock signal or time signal transmitter can be made audible.
In addition so-called "sferics" which are generated by natural micro-thunderstorms in the troposphere, can be made audible in the open field in the absence of strong mobile radio transmitters.
From a building biology perspective the electromagnetic pollution in sleeping areas should be kept as low as possible, because the human organism should be free of external stress factors in order to be able to regenerate.
The 5G Esmog Spion is easy to use: screw on one of the antennas, select the measuring range, switch on the device, read the display and hear and identify signals.
Walking around the room gives you an overview of the RF and AF signals in the area.
The use of the 5G Esmog Spion is also interesting in the industrial sector, e.g. to check an industrial area for RF interference signals or to test high-frequency telecommunications devices and modules for their function.
A light sensor is available as an optional accessory. It is screwed on to the NF input and operated in the NF measuring range.
This allows light modulations to be made audible, e.g. from IR remote controls or IR sound transmissions or interference signals modulated on artificial light, caused by fluorescent light, computer monitors or LED lights with poorly screened power supplies.
Please note: The 5G Esmog Spion should not be operated with headphones!
                        Otherwise, hearing can be damaged by very strong signal levels.
