ALPHAiX 3000 with End Window Counter Tube G
Geiger counter with end window counter type G for measurements of ALPHA-, BETA and GAMMA radiation.
The supplied counter tube type G is ca. 5 times more sensitive than the type A.
The counter tube has a fixed connection of 1m cable and a plug for the connection to the instrument.
This combination is preferred by the laboratory specialized trade companies. Apart from contamination measurements of food, this counter is also used for scientific and commercial purposes.
In mobile use the particularly sensitive end window diaphragm is to be protected. This combination is used according to experience predominantly in laboratories of all kinds and is a mobile alternative to the stationary devices.
For food checks a larger counter tube has to be used, i.e. type B or FSZ.

Detection limit: 4 Bq Caesium 137 at a distance of 3 cm and 10 min measuring time. The counting tube is protected by a plastic coating and a cap for the end window, which (the latter) has to be removed for contamination measurements
For the mechanical protection of the end window counter tube the Geiger counter with type G tube is already supplied in the ALPHAiX Carrying case.
Please note: Because the connection of the external counter tubes to the ALPHAiX 3000 instrument are pluggable, with one instrument also the other types of counter tubes can be operated. Counter tubes can be supplied separately and for spare needs upon request.
